Surgery Day

Posted On June 2, 2009 | Filed Under Family

Steve's Shoulder SurgerySteve had his shoulder surgery today. 7 holes and 8 hours at the hospital, he was able to go home. He has to make sure to move his fingers and wrist around, so I guess that will give him a reason to play xBox – not that he ever needed a reason. No need to worry about pain at the moment, since he has a pain pump, and a script for some happy pills.

Doctor said there will be about an 8 week recovery period after his surgery. Off to college in the fall, so he’ll be ready for wresting season.

Enjoy the last vestages of your youth Steve!
You’re on the doorstep of slavery (working to make someone else rich) the rest of your life.
Don’t want to sound like doom and gloom but; enjoy these days home with your family. Enjoy the conversations, ask mom and dad about the things in life that confuse you or trouble you. As life speeds up it is times like you have right now that you don’t want to look back wishing you’d really gotten to have more time with mom and dad.
Sorry; feeling homesick now and it’s showing in what I type. :)
